Paul continues to talk about the dangers of a heretical teaching which says that there is more mystery and higher knowledge and wisdom available to us. He tells us that while the Jews had circumcision as the sign of covenant with God, we have a new type of symbol. We are no longer living to please our flesh. We put off the old flesh and its desires, are buried with Christ in baptism and raised to a new life in the spiritual realm. In him, everything changes for us.
