Day 10 - ‘Deliver Us’: The Prayer of Hezekiah

In 2 Kings 19, King Hezekiah of Judah is faced with annihilation at the hands of the Assyrian army. Hezekiah faced a terrible choice: fight and die or surrender and see his people enslaved and taken away. So, Hezekiah did what we should all do and he prayed. He prayed a prayer asking God to “Deliver us!” And God answered! We see in the life of Hezekiah that God is listening to our prayers and when we pray them aligned with God’s will, we shouldn’t hesitate to pray - “God, deliver us!”
