Day 6 - ‘I Have Sinned’: The Prayer of David

Today we see the multiple mistakes that David made. He foolishly had an encounter with Bathsheba. Then once he got her pregnant he had Bathsheba's husband, Uriah, killed in battle. Then he married Bathsheba thinking, “nobody will ever know”. On top of it all, he thought he could hide it from God. Then David uttered the only words that can erase the guilt of sin “I have sinned against the Lord”

It’s one of the most effective, yet difficult prayers in the Bible. If there is a lingering sin in your life, bring it before God, confess now. Pray the words that David prayed, “Lord I have sinned”
