Day 2 - ‘Bless Me’: The Prayer of Jacob

Jacob found himself in what seemed like an impossible situation. His brother Esau was hunting him down for stealing his birthright when they were younger. During a night of distress on his journey, he wrestled with God. While they grappled through the twilight hours, Jacob prayed, ‘bless me’. 

God responded to Jacob’s prayer with more than he could have imagined; he gave him a new name and a new identity. Jacob had an encounter with God that would change him forever. A prayer for God’s blessing is a prayer well worth praying.
